 Welcome to our website - Eclectikid is the inspiration and collaboration of family. After the birth of our son, Naylan, in 2003, my husband, Grant, expressed frustration over the limited color and design choices for boys clothing. I encouraged Grant to make a difference in the availability of fun clothes for boys by using his artistic talents. Grant began brainstorming his years of sketching into a unique t-shirt line for kids. In May 2004, the first collection of 10 designs became available. This was the beginning of Eclectikid. My mother, Shirley Gay, and I have always loved sewing and designing, and had been creating and marketing designer home and personal accessories at arts and crafts fairs for the past 10 years – so it was a natural progression to design items to accompany the t-shirt line. Mom’s created a selection of kid's messenger bags and tote bags and I have designed hooded baby towels and handmade greeting cards featuring Grant’s designs. In addition, we’ve created a line of baby blankets, kids fleece hats, and other kid's accessories. We’ve been marketing our line to retail stores and at local arts and crafts fairs. Grant continues to develop new graphics and Mom and I continue to create new, fun products. The constant collaboration keeps our designs fresh and unique - so enjoy our designs now and revisit our site for the next evolution of Eclectikid! Michelle Gay |
